Did these assholes think that by killing someone who was better than they ever could be in their lifetime, that they'd be considered as anything more than a p.o.s. by the rest of society? I hope that they are caught, and are given a life sentence, just so that they can be beaten to death just as savagely by guys much bigger than they are.. better yet, they should be given the death sentence with that as their means of execution.. I don't want these sh!t stains living off of my tax dollars. But because, "no one wants to be a snitch" I am sure they won't be, and if they are caught, then because of the ages, I am sure that they'll get out once they are of legal age. This is horrible, regardless of the race. Other races do the same and worse to each other.. we only see more of Blacks doing it because of the media. Every race has their garbage, and what's worse is that because of this, you will have every other ignorant asshole out there associating these "societal skid marks" with Black people.My thoughs and prayers go out to his family.

im sorry....but im a black women who is raising a black man....i care about me and him and "our ppl" and what we do and how we succeed. there can be those that do worse...but these are who my heart belongs to...and it DISHEARTENS ME TO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO END every time stuff like this happens...it really truly truly beyond words does. Moving to the suburbs wont help.. because eventually you will have the garbage that others were trying to get away from, moving to the same area and then turning that place into a cesspool as well. Running away from the problem won't help.. the only way things can get better is if they get rid of the problem at the source. You can't get rid of roaches by just killing them one by one, you need to find the source and handle it that way.

I heard about the same happening a few years ago in the Bronx.. this kid, also an honor student, and the star quarterback of his high school football team, refused to join a gang, they beat him up and he survived and they shot him to death in his front yard right in front of his mother.. she had sent him to get the mail. It is f'd up.. even if you raise your kid to do the right thing, just as this boy's family did, they will still end up being a victim to the turds walking the street. It is a no win situation. Why do people even bother trying to raise kids knowing that there is a possibility that they will either victimize someone else, or be victimized by someone else?

I am so sick of these thugs.. if they are so hard, and so big and bad, and want to play around with guns, why don't they just take their asses to the nearest recruit office, and enlist, and prove how hard they are.. at least they'd be making something of themselves. But they won't because they'd probably shit themselves in basic training.

@ black angel: about moving to the burbs what you said is so true. i went to school in alameda which is like a suburb... my sophmore year of high school hella people from oakland moved to a housing project not to far from my school and they tried to turn alameda into a little oakland... alameda wasnt having it tho... they evicted EVERYONE from those apartments, slapped some new paint on em and turned them into high priced luxury apartments
