I mean, when that guy hits him upside the head, you hear that sickening thud....when they drag him, you see the trail of blood....I mean, damn.

I wanted to cry too. My eyes watered but the tears didn't flow. This is so very heart breaking

Like, I have always wondered when people are fighting and they take it to another level (such as in this video when the boy picks up the board and clocks it upside the guy's head), what are they thinking? They become inhuman...like, I can see if it was self-defense, but to just beat up someone for the hell of it. WHY?

Kids today are so desensitized (is that a word...lol) when it comes to violence that it doesn't make sense. I remember when violent video games first came out eons ago, this very topic was the issue. They don't think that it's real, taking a life doesn't seem so horrifying to them because they see it on tv and in video games, it's the norm in their world.

Desensitized is a word lol.

But I agree with you, Divine. It's really sad. I think that it doesn't hit them about what they did until they are booked and charged. When those prison bars close, it's like, "Damn...what was I thinking?" By then, it's too late.

I don't know what the hell is wrong with parents nowadays. WAAAAAY too many of them aren't accountable and it's really sad.

i blame parents...BC HOW DO YOU HAVE KIDS ROAMING THE STREETS AFTER SCHOOL AND THEY ARE FIGHTING AND THEY HAVE NO CONSCIOUS ABOUT IT? like i was raised by a single mother as well...who worked her jobs she didnt make it to PTA meetings, we struggled as well like i didnt come from this great enviorment like the "suburbs"...but somehow i had a MOTHER as in she was intune..like i have a common sense button within me....i feel when something is wrong and watching this...i see all the wrong and feel all the wrong...why is that these children cant?...parenting thats all there is to it. I understand the allure of the sts the money when you aint got it...but there are enough that make it out of the garbage that shows u that that way isnt the right way of doing things. And im not going to fall for the "well they dont have any positive images around them" BULL FREAKIN CRAP...we have the MOST important one of all and that is OBAMA adn MICHELLE

but havent you noticed though. A lot of black kids who have parents who come from overseas, we are not usually allowed to roam the streets afterschool. Like when I was younger, I knew a lot of black kids who parents came from the West Indies, and different african nations. Most of them were the ones running home because they didnt want their parents to find them on the street. I for one did not want to hear the speech..from mom or dad " If I find you on the street, you will have two options...either we send you to Nigeria and you stay or we just whoop yo butt"/ I am not saying that black kids who have parents that come from overseas dont get in trouble, but for us we have it in the back of our minds that if we get into some mess outside, our parents will skin us alive. For the black kids who parents were born here, some of them dont get that type of warning. I have heard many african american parents who say they dont believe in spanking when the need arises...they give time outs......for a lot of west indian and african parents that would make them laugh.... African American parents (a lot of them) have lost their sense of being THE parent. Let your child know that if they do get into some mess, they have to deal with you when they come home. This whole "Lets act like the Beavers" is not cool....our kids are running around like crazy people. If your son wants to act like a thug, let him know that you are a bigger thug...we need to go back to the drawing board because if we dont, we are going to continue to hear about black kids dying everyday because of something so stupid.

Yeah, cultures are obviously different, but I agree...parents need to show their kids that they are the bigger thugs and can whoop your ass any time of any day of any week.

Man there are no grown ups around that's the problem. Less fathers, less teachers who care, less mothers with time for their kids, less ppl want to take kids in afterschool...this is the result of that. It's not like the old days wen it took a village...now everybody in the neighborhood too worried about their own problems to focus on anyone else's....kids acting up, that's because black parents don't care anymore....each one teach one is over in 2009
