What do you do to get attention from the opposite sex?

For women there isn't really much doing to be honest. Men are hound dogs and are constantly on the prowl. The ones that are prowling are the ones that do not get the time of day from me. Now if I'm somewhere and a guy is looking I might smile a little as a way of giving him the okay to approach me. Other than that I don't do much of anything. What about you?

If I know the person I'll make casual conversation and be myself. I might even flirt a little. If I dont know him I'll just smile and keep doing what i'm doing.

Shadiq I am like that for real unless a cute guy was to approach me first but I will still show signs of shyness. When I was at school I had a guy approach me....he was ugly and he wanted my number. I tried to brush him off but he would not budge......

yea ugly guys have WAY more confidence than cute guys...very strange lol.

I honestly don't know. I never really tried to be honest. I am not a confident person. I don't think that I am the best looking person in the world, and it is just as well, since I'd rather be known for my personality and intelligence rather than my appearance. In school, I would hang out with guys, because most girls I went to school with had some type of attitude. If you were friendly, then they thought that you were gay, lame and/or were trying to be cool, and if you kept to yourself and didn't say anything, you were a conceited bitch who thought you were better than everyone else. Guys, didn't have that kind of drama. It was hey, you wanna play pool after school? I'd be like sure, let's go. And that would be the end of it right there. Girls would come eventually, and some of the time, they ended up being the girlfriends of the guys I was hanging with. Eventually, the girls who were snobbish to me in the beginning, were either being introduced to me as the guy's new girlfriend, or they'd come up to me asking me how I knew a guy they liked, and if I could set them up. I did, and eventually they'd see how they'd misjudged me and started to like me.

This had only happened once or twice, maybe three or four times tops.. and most often than not, eventually the guys that I would play pool with, would pull me off to the side and then tell me that they liked me as more than a friend. I have had this happen to me too often, and I really didn't understand why. At this point, I ended my friendship with them, because I wasn't comfortable, and did not want to be accused of leading them on.

I didn't know how this happened.. One day, we're talking shit back and forth, snapping on each other's moms and the next day they're telling me that they love me. I didn't flirt, (I did talk shit when we bowled or played pool, but the other guys talked shit right back and so, it wasn't as if it was anything sexual..) I didn't show them any indication that I was interested in them romantically. I was happy just being "one of the guys" I didn't even dress up or wear makeup like other girls. I just wore a t-shirt with relaxed fit jeans and some beat up sneakers with my glasses and my hair pulled back.

Outside of school, this happened to me as well. My friend lived up the block from me and would always ask me if I wanted to hang out. I'd agree and take a book with me. I knew that she'd be looking to cruise guys and I took the book because I knew that I would be by myself a lot. Anyway, I would have my hair in a bandanna, an over-sized t-shirt, some sweat pants, and old sneakers on my feet. My friend, would be dressed to the nines and she'd have her hair and make up done as well. You'd think that she was going to a club or something. We'd leave and go walking around the neighborhood until she saw a guy that she liked, and would go up to him to talk to him. I would find the nearest bench, and sit down to read my book. The next thing I know, the guy she went up to talk to, was talking to me and asking me about the book I was reading, which would segue into him asking ME out.. and she is giving me dirty looks as if I did it on purpose.

To this day, for the exception of male online friends, forum members, and mutual friends that my fiancé and I know from work, I haven't had many male friends because of this. I told my once best friend that I loved him like an older brother when he told me a few years ago that he was in love with me. I told him that I was honored that he felt that way, but that I consider my friends to be an extension of my family, and that I loved him as an older brother and did not feel the same way he did. We are still friends to this day, and he is very happy that he has a younger sister, and soon to be brother in law. I still don't know what it is that I do that attracts guys, because if I did, I'd try to turn it off.
