Do you feel that it is possible to get over someone but still love/be in love with them? Why or why not?

Sometimes you NEVER get over someone. You try to put them as far back in your mind as possible but every once in a while they creep up.

yea. i still have love for my first bf, but i been over him lol.. i cud see him makin out with a girl and it would phase me lol

I agree with Earl. Take me for example. I loved my child's father more than anyone on the face of the planet despite how he treated me. I haven't talked to him in over a month and I have been fine with it, but I still think of him from time to time, and even wonder if he's thinking of me (weak, I know). I still love him....he's the father of my child, but I know I can't be with him. I have no choice BUT to move on. I won't be completely over him because he's my true first love, but I gotta go on with my life. That's why I believe it's possible to move on but still love someone.

However, if you are IN LOVE with someone, make sure that you're okay to move on b/c carrying that emotional baggage to another relationship isn't healthy and it isn't fair to the other person.
