I stand by my statement that the awards show was decent. Now, if they had months to rehearse a MJ tribute for the awards show and that was the result? Then yeah, I would have a problem with it, BUT, for the time given, it was decent.

I do agree that Ciara was probably the most horrible performance up there. She DOES suck at singing ballads.

^^^ She sucks at singing most songs. She is not a really good vocalist. She should stick to dancing and really less singing.

For BET sakes, I will say they tried to give him a tribute within the short time they had. If Mike was here he probably would have been like thanks guys. I loved Maxwell's performance.

The last performance was the reason why I say rap music has falling hard. I dont listen to much of Drake's music but I have heard some of his mixtapes. He gives lyrics...I try not to pay too much attention to the cursing(lol) but he will be a good rapper with more training and working on his craft. I hope to God even though he is with Lil Wayne he does fall into the Lil Wayne wack songs. Lil Wayne is just a commerical artist. Drake looks like he is bring back the lyrics....
However, the last performance should have been omitted from the show. There was no need for all of that. I could not listen to the whole performance because it made me cringe in my seat. It was almost insulting if not highly insulting. It was suppose to be a tribute to MJ.....Debra Lee needs to sometimes think things over. There was no need for that last performance.

I agree. From what I've read most people disliked it. I dont care how short notice it was it could have done better. They could have at lease done a slide show. That's not hard.

It seems that most of the artist these days don't know what ENTERTAINMENT is all about. I honestly can't see how anybody would spend more that $1.23 and 3 now n laters to go see a rapper just walk back and forth across the stage!

You know there were alot of artist that I thought woulda been there that wasn't....Chris "BEAT DOWN" Brown, Usher, Justin Timberlake are just a few to come to mind...

It woulda also been nice to have some MJ vids showing behind the Beyonce part..o'well...like I said...I'll wait for the PROPER tribute to MJ to come on TV

I would have loved for Usher to come and perform but then I recalled that Usher must have been really hurt I guess with the news because I think he actually had a close relationship with Mike. Chris brown and MJ dont belong in the same sentence . MJ was an all around performer. Chris Brown is a great dancer and thats about it.

^^^As much as I like CB, I have to agree. Usher would have been better suited.

I really think if CB spent more time on his vocals he would be the total package when it comes to being called an entertainer.

I think that the show would've been better had they proceeded as planned and dedicated a performance or a segment instead of the whole show. I think that the sentiment was nice but not at all reasonable.

I will say that no one living or dead compares to Michael...well maybe Elvis but Michael was, is and will always be the SHIT! A total and complete performer who lacked nothing, he put his all into every performance and the entire show was something to see.
