Are you serious? Opera has been around longer than country music and its known all over the world. Opera has been around since the 16th century. Wow do people not read history anymore? How is it do you think we are now able to classify people who sing the music we love to listen to as sopranos, altos, tenors, baritones, mezzo-soprano and etc? Where do you think that all came from; country music? Again I am not putting down country music down because there are some great artists in country music but lets not get it twisted. Check the history of Opera and then we can continue to discuss this....

I thought you knew we were talking about national b/c of how you were referring to cities and parts of the US that don't listen to country. But yeah, country is bigger than a lot of people think. I know when I travel, my radio always switches to country or Spanish stations!

I was actually referring to both. In one of my responses, I mentioned both national and globally. You know when it comes to music, i often mention music on a national scale and global scale. Thats why I wrote that comment before on the other thread about the difference btwn Taylor and Beyonce being known globally. Music is all over the world. Just like hip-hop and R&B is all over the world, thats why I asked about country music popularity.

I never stated that I do not listen to country music. I did not say I dont pay attention to it either. Relax homie. You getting a little too excited. I mentioned earlier that I actually used to listen to country music. I even like some of the newer country singers. Slow down buddy....lol I was not trying to put it down either. I never once said its country music is garbage. So easy....
